About Me

My artistic journey began as a child— drawing constantly, and attending after-school art classes and summer camps for art and game coding. This passion for games and the arts fueled me through my teens where I dabbled in ceramic, wax, and bronze sculpture. After graduating high school, I studied at California College of the Arts (CCA) where I earned my BFA in illustration. Despite formally trained for editorial and storybook art, I knew I wanted to work in the game and film sectors of the entertainment industry; so, I pivoted when creating my thesis show by combining my illustration skills and creative writing hobby to produce concept art of my own stories.

Despite of the dreadful Covid lock-down, I made used of the time to expand my repertoire by learning new programs, mediums, and pipelines— namely 3D production. Then, soon after Gnomon resumed in-person education, I attended their 2-year Certificate in Digital Production for Entertainment program for my post-grad training.

Throughout CCA and Gnomon, animation was always an interest; but when I was introduced to 3D animation combined with Unreal integration and blueprinting, that interest became an attraction. I loved seeing my work be interactive and I found the problem solving of blueprinting and in-engine animation blending to be satisfying.

I have secured a solid ability in industry standard programs and practices during my final two terms at Gnomon.  My Stone Monkey game demo has utilized these skills to showcase my character animations functioning and blended in actual gameplay.

I am looking forward to creating more projects, and exploring the opportunities in game industry.  Taking part in building memorable games is my goal.
